Alternator woes:
After buying our Kadey-Krogen, Brian accidentally discovered that our alternator was HOT to the touch even though the engine had not been on for hours. Had someone look at it, but he couldn't figure it out other than he thought it was getting current from the batteries, something that should never happen. Someone suggested that maybe when the engine was shut off, the key wasn't quite in the off position, but that wasn't the case. After we ran the engine a second time and then shut it down, the alternator cooled off like it was suppose to. About two to three weeks later after our first day traveling to Belhaven, NC, the problem recurred. Brian called a couple of marinas and got a referral to a Mr. Harlis, a local fellow who told us he would most likely see us tomorrow as this is a major problem.
